No one as of November 2004 has publicly received the actual M.O.B. VeriChip.|
It appears from the latest news article from the BBC that the Chip that was placed in the ARM at the Baja Beach Club was for a limited DEBIT- Account ( Stored-Value) set up with the local retailer and was pre-paid in advance for financial transactions. They did not receive the actual VeriChip that works with the VeriPay System and is yet to come , and will perform financial transactions in REAL time.
First of all, the size of the chip in the arm was smaller than the size of the chip that will be placed in the right hand or forehead later on, as you can tell from the following articles :
"Imagine having a glass capsule measuring 1.3mm by 1mm, about the size of a large piece of rice injected under your skin.
The night club offers its VIP clients the opportunity to have a syringe-injected microchip implanted in their upper arms that not only gives them special access to VIP lounges, but also acts as a debit account from which they can pay for drinks."
